You will be asked a series of questions regarding your particular complaint. To help narrow down the problem, a visual, physical and movement assessment will be performed along with a hands-on treatment. Therapeutic exercises, postural corrections and other recommendations may be provided to help you improve faster post-therapy.
All treatments are constantly adjusted to the ever-changing responses inside your body. Since you know how you feel better than anyone, your feedback is greatly encouraged throughout each session.
Our internal and external environments are constantly changing. Yet, we adapt. In the process of adapting, however, we may develop compensations that are harmful.
In and of themselves, compensations are not bad. It’s over- or under-compensating that becomes problematic. These negative compensations can lead to dysfunctions in movement, breathing, posture and thinking.
The Hill Method uses a combination of manual therapy, corrective exercises, therapeutic stretches, postural adjustments, breathing exercises, and mindfulness to hack into sensory receptors found throughout the body for correcting negative compensations and restoring movement patterns that are authentic to your body.
